It is our mission to disrupt and prevent the cycle of homelessness by enabling and empowering individuals to become self-sufficient members of their communities.
Established in 1818, Mendicity is the oldest working charity in Dublin. For over 200 years, we have been creating opportunities for people experiencing homelessness, isolation and marginalization, to live better lives. We help people empower themselves so they can work their way out of homelessness. We are inclusive, we are innovative, and we provide quality service to all who come to us.

Pop-up Shop

Every Thursday from 4:30pm to 7:30pm: All our products and unique and the pop-up shop is a great way to see and feel all the products and gives an opportunity to speak to staff about the products and order special personalised items.

Hard Ground Coffee

Tuesday-Friday from 8:30am to 11:00am: Hard Ground is the name of our lovely coffee truck parked outside our building ready to serve delicious coffee made by our CE participants who have all been trained and certified to make amazing coffee. We source our coffee from Eighty 9 Coffee Irish coffee rosters. If you are local to Dublin 8, this is a great way to shop local and give back as all profit goes back to funding our services.
